Are you a Queer artist / maker? Would you like to

Are you a Queer artist / maker? Would you like to see your art / products sold on the shelves of an all-Queer gift shop? If yes, we'd love to connect!

Matter is opening a gift shop to showcase the diverse artistic talents of our community, create opportunities for Queer artists & makers, and to raise funds to keep Matter's door open. We want to see the shelves filled with the creativity of local Queer artists & makers.

If you are interested in selling your work at Matter's gift shop, please fill out the application form in our bio!

A few things to note:
- To align with Matter's mission of centring 2SQTBIPOC (individuals who are both Queer and BIPOC), those who also self-identify as BIPOC will be prioritized.
- Items at the gift shop will be sold through consignment. Consignment fees will operate on a sliding scale, with a portion of sales going to Matter to help our doors stay open.
- The application will stay open, but if you would like your art / products sold during our next First Fridays exhibit opening on June 6, please submit your application by Sunday, May 25

The main Matter space is stair-access only at this time. We recognize that this is a barrier. We are working on securing grants to address this access need. Join us on June 6 for the opening of 'Ebb + Flow', a solo exhibition by Pink Panda (they/she)!

'Ebb + Flow' invites you into a vibrant emotional landscape shaped by identity, reflection, and resilience. This collection of over 20 two-dimensional and three-dimensional works captures the dynamic tension between inner chaos and the search for balance.
Through vivid colours, layered line work, and immersive storytelling, the artist explores the beauty that can be found in both turbulence and transformation.

💜 Gallery admission is free / by donation to Matter.
💜 Mask-recommended (with masks available at the door). Mask-mandated viewing hours will be announced closer to the date.
